Guady Serrano

I am a storyteller and a storywriter from Mexico living now in Canada since last August 2009. I studied the Major in Literature and Language Science in Universidad del Claustro de Sor Juana, Mexico and Storytelling in Intituto Nacional de Bellas Artes. I have been creative writter since 10 years ago I write poems, stories but my focus has been theatre for children and youth and also I had the oportunity to make 2 independants films from 2 of my plays.

Right now, I am studying a Master Program at University of Winnipeg and I am developing diverse topics of research, some of them I will post them here.

I am a professional dreamer and traveler..I have many stories from around the world that I have transformed into stories and poems and also crititical autoetnographies, for instance, my trip to USA as tourist during september 2001, from that experience I developed my first graphic novel.

Right now, besides studying my Master Program, reading more than 100 pages per week *on globalization and medievalism* I am also teaching spanish and creative drama to children in my house, I have develped a methoid for teach spanish and also cerative arts writing and arts, through the games and collective creativity. I love to teach. This methid I have developed in Mexico for years and now I am starting it in Canada, I am willing to share some of the activities that I develop with my students as well..

I have not published yet, with the exception of 2 poems and one film but my plays, stories and poems are known among the people that have worked with me and be part of the audience...as I know it is not enough I want to publish now, hoping that the Canadian readers are open to the stories and art form a Mexican Inmigrant.
